We were fortunate to work alongside many of these heroes during our careers at the CIA and NSA: men and women who served in uniform, often deploying again and again with special operations units into combat zones. We've seen what they were asked to carry, and far too many come home with wounds no one can see.
Since 2001, more than 140,000 veterans have died by suicide, roughly 20 a day.
The men and women who served our national mission deserve a mission that serves them. That's why we've supported Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions (VETS) since the beginning, and why we believe deeply in the work Marcus, Amber, and the VETS team are doing to give veterans new paths toward healing.
